Enhanced Access
The Enhanced Access Service, now organised by your local Primary Care Network (PCN), aims to enhance patient experience by offering routine, pre-booked appointments during weekday evenings and Saturdays from 9am to 5pm. Appointments can be in-person or remote and may involve a range of healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and pharmacists, tailored to your specific needs. This service provides greater flexibility and accessibility for patients seeking care outside regular hours.

- Colney Hatch Lane surgery
- East Barnet Health Centre
- East Finchley Medical Practice
- Friern Barnet Medical Centre

Life Threatening
Call 999 or go to A&E now if:
- you or someone you know needs immediate help
- you have seriously harmed yourself - for example, by taking a drug overdose
A mental health emergency should be taken as seriously as a medical emergency.
Urgent But Not Life Threatening
Visit an urgent care centre if:
- You have an urgent medical issue requiring on the day attention
Walk-In Centre
If an injury is not serious, you might be able to get help from their minor injuries unit (MIU), rather than going to an A&E department. Telephone them for advice. The nearest walk-in centres are:
- Finchley NHS Walk-In Centre Telephone: 020 8349 7470 Finchley Memorial Hospital, Granville Road, London N12 0JE. Opening Hours 8am to 9pm everyday (2 miles away)
- Haverstock Healthcare (Barnet Hospital) Urgent Care Centre, Barnet General Hospital, Wellhouse Lane, Barnet, Hertfordshire EN5 3DJ. Opening Hours 9am to 11pm (3.2 miles away)
- Chase Farm Hospital Telephone: 020 8375 2999127 The Ridgeway Enfield, Middlesex EN2 8JL. Opening Hours 8am to 10pm everyday (3.3 miles away)
- North Middlesex University Hospital Telephone: 020 8887 2000 Sterling Way, London N18 1QX. Opening Hours 9am to 10pm everyday (3.4 miles away)
Non-urgent
Use NHS 111 if:
- You need help now, but it's not an emergency
There will be someone to provide you with advice and to direct you to a clinician if it is necessary.
